Harbor Village Construction Underway!

If you happen be driving down the North Dam Access Road to Truman Dam just past the Parkfield Inn and at the top of the hill on your right you'll notice activity! That's right, things are moving and that means the new Harbor Village facility is under construction.

Harbor Village is a partnership between Katy Trail Community Health, Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare, and Care Connection for Aging Services and the Friends of the Warsaw Senior Center.

   

"We are extremely pleased to announce that construction will begin on the project.  The contractor will be Westport Construction of Clinton, Missouri," said Harbor Village Board Chairman Mike Mais. 

 

The project will be completed in two Phases.  Harbor Village Phase One will create a 18,500 square foot Community Health and Well Being Center.  It will include Katy Trail Community Health services with dental suites, primary care exam rooms, the Pathways Community Health services and the Care Connection/Warsaw Senior Center dining room to seat at least 90 people, a kitchen, staff offices, and shared multi-use space.  

 

Phase Two will add to the facility and will include an expanded dining area for a total of at least 200 people, exercise areas, meeting rooms, computer lab and other mixed use areas.

 

Phase One development has an expected opening date of late 2012.  Phase Two will commence upon receipt of adequate financing for the expansion of the project.  The Board of Directors is assuming a 2- year window for this fund raising effort, thus total completion of the project is projected for 2014.

 

The project will impact the local economy immediately.  Construction of Harbor Village will create at least 50 construction jobs from excavating work to framing and finishing of the building itself.  Upon completion, the total project will bring approximately 25 new jobs to our area and much needed services for our residents.

 

So watch for our progress as the new home of Katy Trail Community Health, Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare and the Warsaw Senior Center comes to life.
